The East London Vandals, 2026 — a work on wood that takes us straight back to the origins of Kende’s visual language: East London, Brick Lane, the ELVS crew, and the years of European graffiti art spent on the streets, on the run, and in the media spotlight.

The title does not evoke nostalgia but rather traces a lineage, openly declaring the urban and calligraphic roots of the artist’s pictorial exploration.

Created in 2026, the work features a layered surface where gesture, writing and material coexist in a composition of intense visual impact. Its monumental dimensions of 180 × 138 cm transform the language of graffiti into a contemporary architectural presence, whilst retaining the raw energy of the street.
