Painted in 2009, at the same time as Erased Memory and BNKThis work belongs to a crucial phase in Kende’s artistic development, characterised by prolific output and the gradual transposition of the language of European graffiti into the context of contemporary painting.

The composition depicts a child facing the ocean, lost in a world of anticipation, discovery and contemplation.
In creating this piece, Kende deliberately employs the stencil technique as a tribute to Blek le Rat, recognised as the father of stencil art in contemporary urban art and one of the most influential figures in the history of European street art.

The reference is not merely technical, but also cultural: a tribute to an artistic tradition that has helped to redefine the relationship between image, public space and urban intervention.
